Multi-hazard risk mapping for coupling of natural and technological hazards

چکیده
Technological hazards induced by natural have a significant impact on human life and economy. Their power exceeds the of that caused them. However, most multi-hazard risk maps failed to incorporate technological when mapping multi hazard risk. To address this problem, we established hybrid assessment methodology calculates in three-step process. First, possible given region are identified hazard-forming environment analysis source investigation respectively. A scenario simulation is adopted analyze intensity scope these hazards. Second, triggered relationships among analyzed matrix. Then, radar graph calculate under coupling effect all region. Third, calculated aggregating land use data together. This was applied Huairou Science City (HSC), Beijing. The result shows joint action earthquake liquid ammonia leakage main reason for high central area HSC. developed study can clearly show different impacts each coupling, results better reflect actual disaster situation.

Natural hazards and technological risk in Russia: the relation assessment
Almost every natural disaster is accompanied by some sort of technological one. A number of studies also show a correlation between technological disasters and various global processes such as solar disturbances, geophysical field variation etc. In this study we attempted to ascertain and codify the relationship between different types of technological disasters and natural hazards. Two types o...
متن کاملHazard function theory for nonstationary natural hazards
Impact from natural hazards is a shared global problem that causes tremendous loss of life and property, economic cost, and damage to the environment. Increasingly, many natural processes show evidence of nonstationary behavior including wind speeds, landslides, wildfires, precipitation, streamflow, sea levels, and earthquakes. Traditional probabilistic analysis of natural hazards based on peak...

The kites shown above were part of an innovative project wherein schools acted as an effective medium to reach out to the community regarding disaster preparedness and response. The pilot project “Testing Communication strategies for Industrial Disaster Risk Reduction” built upon schools and children as an effective way to create awareness and build up capacities of the community to be prepared...
متن کاملMeasuring Resilience to Natural Hazards: Towards Sustainable Hazard Mitigation
Measuring resilience to natural hazards is a central issue in the hazard mitigation sciences. This paper applied a confirmatory factor methodology to operationalize the biophysical, built-environment, and socioeconomic resilience dimensions for local jurisdictions in large urban metropolitan areas in South Korea. Mapping the factor scores of the dimensions revealed great spatial variations. The...
